Mottoes from the Longyear Museum Collection 2027 Calendar

Handmade and commercially produced mottoes were popular in home decor during the late 19th century and often featured Bible verses. Historic photos of Mary Baker Eddy’s Pleasant View and Chestnut Hill homes show inspirational and instructive phrases in many of the rooms. The mottoes in this calendar are part of the Longyear Museum Collection. The borders are based on reproduction wallpaper patterns from the Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses in Chestnut Hill and Amesbury, Mass.
