Living Stones

The Pleasant View Walk is the focal point of Longyear’s outdoor exhibit. Currently, there are more than 4,000 engraved bricks or “Living Stones” installed in the walk. The bricks represent lives of those who have been touched by Christian Science. There is still room to add an engraved brick with your name or the name of a loved one. New bricks are added to the walk each spring.

We will always notify the donor when a stone has been installed.

To accommodate the maximum number of characters on each Living Stone, we do not include periods after Miss., Ms., Mrs., or Mr., or for CS and CSB. We eliminate the period after a middle initial. We use commas after the last name and before any suffixes such as CS, CSB, or Jr. Only names are included on the stones, no additional phrases.
