I Heard Lincoln That Day
As a young boy, William R. Rathvon heard Abraham Lincoln deliver the Gettysbury Address. He recorded this reminiscence in 1938.
As a nine-year-old, William R. Rathvon heard President Abraham Lincoln deliver the Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863. William Rathvon became interested in Christian Science in 1893. He served in Mrs. Eddy’s Chestnut Hill household as a corresponding secretary from 1908 to 1910. Mr. Rathvon recorded this reminiscence in 1938 in the studios of radio station WRUL in Boston.
